What Is It?
60 minutes of moving rhythmically to fab music and getting a fat-burning and cardio workout along the way. There are muscle toning, balance and stretch elements.
The Tuesday morning class is inspired by music from different eras and different cultures and uses easy-to-follow dance steps and aerobics moves for an hour’s worth of enjoyable movement that is also a total body workout.
The Tuesday evening class is based on traditional ballroom and Latin dances but choreographed without partners (no “ouch” factor for the toes!). There is a mixture of slow and up-tempo dances and music for an interval-based, energetic workout. Low-impact options are available for high-impact moves.
Who is it for?
Anyone aged 17-69 in apparent good health (and please see “Health and Safety” [can this be a link to H&S on The Small Print page?] who enjoys movement to “golden oldies” music (and selected contemporary tracks that appeal to a “fifty-something”!); also people seeking to:
• improve heart, lung and muscle function
• increase bone density
• improve coordination
• improve balance
• enjoy the fun of moving to music in a small, friendly group
