Happy 2018! I cannot believe it's over 3 years since I last posted on this blog. Not a blogger, I guess. If you are reading this, please be reassured that despite the absence of recent posts, classes are very much alive and well! If you are a "regular", I hope you need no introduction to what we stand for! But if you are new and looking round for somewhere you will feel comfortable working out, getting fit, keeping fit - whatever your motivation and aims - here are a few features of what I believe makes us "special". Firstly, the classes are kept small - no more than 15 people - which means I can offer more individual, personalised training, supervision and motivation; secondly, you will find that the people who come, while diverse in age and fitness, are consistently welcoming, friendly, supportive and fun; this means that thirdly, you will find yourself amongst people with whom you can connect, who will encourage you, who become friends; so that, fourthly (and finally, for now - I promise!), if and when life "gets in the way" and, for whatever reason, you have to stop for a while, you are guaranteed a warm welcome when you return!

Team Kettlercise Lunch and Laughter
Any excuse for a party! Monday, Wednesday and Friday Kettlercisers gathered on Friday for a farewell lunch for Chris, who leaves us this week for the warmer, summier climes of Devon. Fab "bring and share" feast and much merriment. Big thank you to everyone who came for making it such a delicious and vibrant event. Love you! Chris, we'll miss you enormously - you are a real "kettles" star. Good luck with the Big Move South and hope it all goes well. Be warned - early planning for the first Kettles Sidmouth Summer Camp is underway!

Ready for H.Core Kettlercise?
It had been in the diary for 6 whole months, so it was with great excitement and some trepidation that I ventured to Wilmslow for the H.Core training day with Kettlercise creator Guy Noble on Sunday. H.Core is advanced Kettlercise - using 2 kettlebells rather than 1 for most of the exercises. It was a very demanding day physically, but also very instructive and surprisingly enjoyable! So now, the question is - when do we launch? Look out for summer specials in August!

FitSteps with added Flair!
"Flair!" workshops offer FitSteps instructors the opportunity to spend half a day fine-tuning technique and learning new twists on the dances we already know and are incorporating into our classes. This one covered the Paso Doble, Samba, Rumba and Tango - strong posture and tight buttocks required!
